Art

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For while knowledge defines all we currently know and understand, imagination points to all we might yet discover and create.”
Albert Einstein

Welcome to Art! Our art classes bring many wonderful things to learn and explore. When students walk into the Art Room at St. Paul Catholic School, their imaginations and their creativity are welcomed, expected, and nurtured. Art classes are offered to all grades, starting in Kindergarten all the way through Middle School. During Middle School, students have the opportunity to take an added elective class if they so choose. In each grade, students learn and review basic art techniques, skills and principles, along with the very important topics of art history and how art impacts every single aspect of our daily lives.

Art history is introduced the very first day of Kindergarten. Students are exposed to and are encouraged to experiment with mediums of all types, from basic drawing and tempera painting, to collage, sculpture, printmaking and more. Everyone has an inner artist dwelling in them. Here at St.Paul’s, we allow our students to discover the artist in them!
